Use of XMT to read unopened 17th century letters

Abstract

Micro-CT is a technique using X-Rays to produce 3D images of objects, including their interanl structure. At QMUL we have developed this technique to reveal hidden writing inside parchment and paper documents. This talk introduces the technique and shows how we are applying it to the Brienne Letters.
